Role : software applications engineers support customers with understanding, integrating, testing and optimizing performance of software features for ASICs supporting a variety of air interfaces and other related technologies including multimedia.

The role requires interfacing with handset developers, base-station inter-operability testing partners and wireless carriers worldwide. Training, assisting customers with software integration and development, assistance with software and system debugging, handling customer Q&A, interfacing closely with San Diego-based developers are some of the key daily activities in this role.

-Qualifications

Specification & implementation of UMTS (WCDMA) or other 3G protocols.
Embedded or wireless system software development on telecommunications devices.
Software integration and debugging on embedded real time operating systems.
Strong experience in C programming required.
Strong communication skills, Strong interpersonal skills, Self starter, Strong initiative skills.
