1. Inbound Freight Management (Port to Port)
• Plan and manage the delivery of goods from international suppliers to warehouse/distribution centers, ensuring timely arrivals to meet sales and launch plans across all channels and markets.
• Develop and implement freight strategies by selecting the most efficient and cost-effective shipping mode, and optimize freight routing, transit times, and distribution networks.
• Drive shipment visibility and tracking through EDI integrations with 3PL partners, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.

2. Customs Clearance & Regulatory Compliance
• Work with customs authorities and regulatory bodies to understand custom complexities, facilitate smooth clearance and ensure full adherence to customs laws, import/export regulations and trade policies, conducting internal audits and implementing corrective actions where needed.
• Act as the subject matter expert on shipping, customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and trade compliance, ensuring alignment with evolving regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate trade documentation and compliance records for audits and reporting.
• Develop, implement, update and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for freight, custom and compliance activities, covering the unique requirements of each country.

3. Audit, Risk & Performance Management
• Identify operational risks and challenges, develop innovative solutions, and execute efficient problem-solving tactics to address operational challenges.
• Develop, track, analyze and report on operational metrics and KPIs related to freight and custom compliance, to identify trends, assess performance, and drive data-driven process improvements.
• Lead and execute strategic plans, process optimization initiatives, technology-driven improvements, project implementation in freight and compliance operations, in alignment with regional directives.

INDIVIDUAL ATTRIBUTES
• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field
• 6 to years of relevant work experience in freight forwarding, logistics, custom compliance
• Team managing experience is not a must, nice to have.
• Strong knowledge of SEA custom regulations, trade policies and FTAs
• Proficiency in logistics management systems and trade compliance software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
